Naagin is not only the most successful but also the longest sustaining daily soaps franchise on Indian TV. What started out with Mouni Roy starring as Naagin in the debut season has now taken an entirely different tune in season 6 which is now being teased by Colors.
It may not have been revealed which actress will play the Naagin this season but the teasers of Naagin 6 are already creating a lot of buzz. The focus of the new season seems to be on the pandemic, which according to the latest teaser of the show which was released on Wednesday suggests is weapon being used by a neighboring country against the world.
Naagin 6 seems to be feeding into the bio-weapon theory regarding the Covid-19 pandemic and in a fictional tale deploys the Naagin to become the savior of the country in these desperate times. It shows a soldier of another nation polluting a river with a chemical to infect the nation with a virus while a council of monks and pundits discuss plans to mitigate the crisis.
While the plot is as far-fetched as it could be, the reactions to the teaser have been hilarious. Followers have been commenting on the post shared by the channel on the ridiculousness of the whole idea.
