Rubina Dilaik on rough patch in marriage with Abhinav Shukla: ‘We have overcome the troubles together’

During their stint in Salman Khan ’s reality show Bigg Boss 14, Rubina Dilaik and Abhinav Shukla had opened up about a rough patch that they were facing in their marriage. The actors, who had tied the knot in 2018, had shared that the lockdown was a stressful time for them. In a task later, Rubina revealed that they contemplated divorce and had given each other time till November to make a final decision. The show helped them come closer together and Abhinav even mentioned that he had fallen in love with Rubina all over again.

Recently on their web series Wanderlust, Rubina and Abhinav had an Emirati wedding. They have left the rough patch far behind and are enjoying their happily ever after. In a chat with Indian Express, Rubina opened up about the hurdles in between and shared, “There is not even an iota of regret about what was said, done, or discussed. We worked upon it as a challenge and there is only gratitude. The journey made me a better person and has instilled a lot of confidence in each other. We have overcome the troubles together and understood how little compromises and adjustments take you far.”

The Shakti Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki actress explained that it’s about creating a fine balance. Abhinav chimed in to share, “That was there for a short period when things were not so great. But now we know where we went wrong and we acknowledge our shortcomings.” He further stated that the two have never been as comfortable with their relationship as they are today. Well, there’s so much we can learn from Abhinav and Rubina.
