Was Tejasswi Prakash hesitant about playing a mother on TV? Naagin 6 star reveals the truth

When Naagin 6 premiered on television, actress Tejasswi Prakash won the audience over with her performance as Pratha aka the Sarvashreshth Shesh Naagin. She went on to wow fans as Kiara and is now playing a double role of mother Pratha and daughter Prathna. In the past we have seen that many young actresses are hesitant to play the role of a mother on television, some have even left popular shows after a leap. But Tejasswi is doing a fabulous job. Fans especially love how gracefully she is portraying Pratha.

In a recent interview with ETimes, Tejasswi revealed if she had apprehensions about portraying the role of a mother on TV. She was quoted saying, “I am playing my own daughter in the show. It is a double role and so I had no qualms playing mother on screen. I was not playing mom to another actress. There is both, a young and an older Tejasswi in the show. It is organically woven into the show and I am glad that I get to do something different. As an actress, you also need to grow and try out different things.”

Tejasswi went on to confirm that this season of Naagin will come to an end by the end of this year in November or December, as it’s a finite show. But the actress feels it was a beautiful journey and the experience of playing the lead role in Ekta Kapoor’s supernatural thriller series has been enriching for her. Tejasswi shared, “I have got to do so many things in the show and it has only helped me grow as an actor. The current season found a good connect with viewers, too.”

Currently the actress is also gearing up for her Marathi film Man Kasturi Re.
