Shah Rukh Khan congratulates Santosh 'Santa' Sivan for his Pierre Angenieux Excel Lens Award at Cannes 2024; do not forget to spot the draft of The King besides him!

The just concluded Cannes 2024 has definitely been one of the most memorable events for India and Indians. This year’s fest saw the culmination of many national talents on the super prestigious platform. Only yesterday, we had reported about actress Preity Zinta congratulating the prolific filmmaker Santosh Sivan for being the proud recipient of the prestigious Pierre Angenieux Excel Lens Award.

Today, a video has surfaced of Bollywood’s King Khan extending his heartfelt congratulations to Santosh Sivan aka Santa (as he fondly calls him). Shah Rukh Khan, in the video says, “Congratulations to Mr Santosh Sivan for Santa, as we call him, for receiving the prestigious Pierre Angenieux Excel Lens Award at the Cannes Film Festival”.

He continued, “I have had the good fortune of working with Santa very early on in my career and like so many others, I have learnt a lot from him. We did films like Dil Se, Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani and he directed me in the beautifully crafted Asoka. And during the course of making these films, there was so much learning from him. He taught me that genius is not thought of, it is felt.”

No sooner than the said video became viral, there were many netizens who just could not resist the charm of Shah Rukh Khan and the manner in which he extended his appreciation towards Santosh Sivan. There were also a few netizens who seemed to have activated their razor sharp hawk eyes as they spotted the draft/ script of the film ‘King’.

For the unversed, King happens to be the Bollywood debut of Shah Rukh Khan’s daughter Suhana Khan. The King is being directed by Sujoy Ghosh.
