Oscars 2022: Jacob Elordi, Jason Momoa, Jake Gyllenhaal and others get included in the new presenter’s list

A new presenter’s list was announced by the Academy Awards on their social media handle for the Oscars 2022 . The star-studded event will be taking place at the Dolby Theatre, Los Angeles on March 27, 2022. The new names also include people who were initially not invited to the event.

The new presenters include Dune actor Jason Momoa along with his co-star from the movie Josh Brolin. Then Euphoria star Jacob Elordi has also found a place in the presenter’s list for the Oscars 2022. The Guilty actor Jake Gyllenhaal will also be presenting at the event.

Actress Rachel Zegler whose film West Side Story has been nominated in the Best Motion Picture category will also be presenting at the occasion. Zegler was earlier not invited to the Academy Awards. Tennis champions Serena Williams and Venus Williams will also be presenting an award. The movie King Richard based on the sibling duo’s father Richard Williams has been nominated in the Best Motion Picture and Best Actor In Leading Role categories. Jill Scott and JK Simmons have also been added to the list.

The films that have been nominated for the Best Motion Picture category are The Power of the Dog, Dune, Belfast, CODA, Drive My Car, West Side Story, King Richard, Licorice Pizza and Don't Look Up Nightmare Alley. Out of these, Benedict Cumberbatch ’s The Power Of The Dog has received most of the 12 nominations, bagging a spot in the diverse categories. The film Dune has been inching close behind with 10 nominations at the 94th Academy Awards.

Actors like Andrew Garfield, Benedict Cumberbatch, Will Smith, Javier Bardem and Denzel Washington have received nominations in the Best Actor In A Leading Role Category. While actresses like Oliva Coleman, Jessica Chastain, Nicole Kidman , Kristen Stewart and Penelope Cruz have been nominated in the Best Actress In A Leading Role Category.
