Not even a week remains until the start of the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2024, and the 20 participating teams have already embarked on their journey to the West Indies and the USA. However, before the commencement of the major tournament, the nations will have the opportunity to partake in a series of warm-up matches.

A total of 16 warm-up matches are scheduled to take place starting from May 27, preceding the main matches which commence on June 2nd. While most teams will play two warm-up matches, Team India will only participate in one warm-up game against Bangladesh at the newly built modular stadium in Nassau County, New York, on June 1.

New Zealand has opted to entirely forego the warm-up matches. Similarly, England and Pakistan, currently engaged in a four-match T20I series against each other, will also bypass the warm-up matches and proceed directly to the main tournament. Interestingly, South Africa has decided to hold an intra-squad match.
