In Match 62 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 between Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Delhi Capitals (DC), two close friends - Virat Kohli and Ishant Sharma - faced each other at the M.Chinnaswamy Stadium. Sure enough, when the tall pacer came to bowl, it was evident how the two kept going at each other.

While Kohli hit him for a six and a four, Ishant did have the last laugh as he got his wicket as well. However, what fans enjoyed was the banter between the two cricketers. Many took to X (formerly known as Twitter) to share how "cute" it was and how both the players took it well without any hard feelings.

As for the clash, DC won the toss and opted to bowl. After 5 overs, RCB lost two wickets and scored 51 runs. Their skipper Faf du Plessis and Kohli departed within the Powerplay. While the RCB captain departed for 6 off 7 by Mukesh Kumar, Kohli was sent back by Ishant for 27 off 13.

Currently, after 7 overs, with Will Jacks and Rajat Patidar at the crease, RCB has posted 76 runs on the board.

This game will also see Delhi without their skipper Rishabh Pant who is serving a one-game suspension for slow over-rate. DC confirmed that Axar Patel will be leading in Pant's absence.
