Bajrangi Bhaijaan sequel: Writer KV Vijayendra Prasad reveals THESE exciting details on Salman Khan starrer

Salman Khan ’s blockbuster 2015 film Bajrangi Bhaijaan completes 7 years today (July 17) and on this occasion, the writer of the film KV Vijayendra Prasad shared a massive update regarding the much-talked-about sequel of the same. Prasad who had also written the first film has now confirmed that the sequel will be a continuation of the same story and will see an 8 to 10-year of leap in the plot. Not only this but the title of the film has also been confirmed to be Pawan Putra Bhaijaan .

KV Vijayendra Prasad who has also penned films RRR , Baahubali franchise, and Eega has revealed to Pinkvilla’s Himesh Mankad that he has narrated the script for the sequel to Salman Khan and the latter has also liked it. Prasad said, “I have narrated the story outline to Bhai and he has loved it. Now the ball is in his court to decide on timelines.”

Apart from this, KV Vijayendra Prasad also revealed that his son and ace director SS Rajamouli originally wanted to direct Bajrangi Bhaijaan. The writer said, “Before I was about to commit the story to Salman Bhai, I narrated it to my son and tears started rolling from his eyes. I asked if I should keep the story for him, but he asked me to give it away. Once the film was released, he came to me and said 'Papa, you asked me at the wrong time. I was shooting the climax of Bahubali 1 and it was a gittery situation then. Had you asked me 10 days before or later, I would have directed the film.”

Prasad furthermore revealed that the idea of the Bajrangi Bhaijaan is credited to the Chiranjeevi film Pasivadi Pranam. The writer-politician said, “I love that film. On seeing it, one of my associates said, let's make a film where the danger comes from Pakistan and let's make our hero a Bajrangi Bhakt. Then the story was about our hero going to Pakistan, and then bashing them. We got a winner in hand. But my mind was not agreeing to it. We wanted to do something beyond bashing Pakistan. The intention was to make a film that doesn't increase the animosity between the two countries but decreases it.” Well, if these developments are true, it will be a visual delight to see Salman Khan’s bond with Harshaali Malhotra aka Munni come alive on the big screen again who is all grown up now.
