More than her films, Jacqueline Fernandes has been making headlines for her alleged connection with conman Sukesh Chandrasekhar for quite some time now. Netizens have hurled brickbats at her for being allegedly involved with a man who has been accused in a Rs 200 crore money laundering case. The actress has finally addressed the criticism and said that being a public figure, she has to face the fact that everyone is not going to like her.
In a recent media interaction, the Bachchhan Paandey actress wondered what she has done wrong when asked about the negative remarks made on her. “What did I do wrong? As a celebrity, you are famous, when somebody doesn't like you, it gets multiplied by thousands. I think the hardest part is understanding and accepting that in this work, you will have to face the fact that not everyone is going to like you. You just have to have your few people who may love you and just be like ‘let me concentrate on myself and do my best,” she was quoted as saying to a news portal. Jacqueline is being investigated by Enforcement Directorate in the said case. The probe agency issued a lookout circular and was detained at the Mumbai International Airport last year. The agency had alleged that the con man had gifted the actress numerous costly gifts, including some Persian cats and a horse. She has been summoned by the agency on several occasions to record her statement in the case.

To note, ED has attached worth ₹7.27 crore of her in the case registered under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA). She also has Rohit Shetty’s Cirkus which also stars Ranveer Singh and Pooja Hegde.
