‘Shame on you’: Neha Kakkar & Falguni Pathak trolled for coming together on Indian Idol after their social media war

Singers Neha Kakkar and Falguni Pathak have been making headlines since the last one week, ever since the former’s new song O Sajna released. Also starring actor Priyank Sharma and digital content creator Dhanashree Verma, the track is a remake of the Dandiya Queen’s popular number Maine Payal Hai Chhankai from 1999. While netizens were disappointed with the new track as well as with Neha, Falguni was also unhappy and reposted negative reviews of the song shared by fans on her official social media handle.

In an interview, Falguni also stated that she wishes she could take legal action but the rights of the original track are not with her. Neha, on the other hand, penned a note for haters on her Instagram handle. Netizens were divided, but they went into a state of shock when the two singers shared the screen in a recent teaser of Indian Idol season 13. Neha welcomed Falguni on stage, who sang Mane Mavtar Male To Mari Amba Jeva Maljo. Meanwhile, Neha along with judge Himesh Reshammiya and host Aditya Narayan danced to her live performance.

Fans feel betrayed and are now wondering if Neha and Falguni’s social media war was just a publicity stunt. In the comment section below, one netizen wrote: “Shamee on you falguni jii you did that just to grab attention😒 completely disappointed”, whereas another comment read: “Song ko famous karvane ke liye kya kya karte hai yeh log....pehle social media par lad ke attention grab karte hai phir ek sath TV par perform karte hai. Kya dikhava hai yaar👏👏.”

Another angry fan went on to share, “See this #nehearts nehu is saying her legendary falguni ma'am and on other side that legendary falguni ma'am is trolling her and makeing her depressed. song ka promotion ka liya ithna bhi koi nicha gir sakta I didn't expected this #shameonyoufalgunipathak @falgunipathak12.”
