Back in 2007, the gorgeous Deepika Padukone made a stellar acting debut in Bollywood opposite Shah Rukh Khan with Farah Khan ’s Om Shanti Om. The two won hearts with their effortless on-screen chemistry and went on to share the screen in several hits. Which is why audiences are pretty excited to see them together once again in SRK’s comeback film Pathaan . Helmed by Siddharth Anand, the action entertainer will arrive in theatres in January next year. Well, latest buzz suggests that Pathaan is not the only project the two will be reuniting in!
According to a report shared by Pinkvilla, Deepika has been roped in for a cameo in Shah Rukh’s Jawan , which is being directed by filmmaker Atlee. A source was quoted saying, “Deepika has been in talks with SRK and Atlee for a while now and she is poised to make a short yet important appearance in the film. She has agreed in principle though the paperwork still remains.” The source further stated that SRK and the director met up with Deepika in Hyderabad recently to talk about the same, while she was shooting Prabhas and Amitabh Bachchan starrer Project K .

The three discussed her character and dates for the project and if things go according to plan, Deepika will soon be a part of Jawan. Also starring Nayanthara, Rana Daggubati , Sanya Malhotra and Sunil Grover in pivotal roles, the film will arrive in theatres on 2nd June next year. Interestingly, recent rumors stated that Deepika will also be seen in a cameo in Ayan Mukerji ’s Brahmastra , which stars Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor in the lead with SRK in a special appearance.
