Marvel Studios announces Phase Five 'The Multiverse Saga' introduces the new cast and six upcoming movie releases

Marvels Studios presentation Hall H presentation at this year's San Diego Comic-Con ( SDCC ) revealed the next phase of the MCU and a new lineup of movies and shows.

One of the major reveals was the third installment in the Ant-Amn franchise called Ant-Man and The Was: Quantumania in which Scott Lang(Paul Rudd) and Hope Van Dyne (Evangeline Lilly) travel through the Quantum Realm.

During the panel, it was confirmed that Bill Muray will appear in the movie as will the supervillain M.O.D.O.K.

The footage shown at SDCC also showcased Kang the Conquer who will most likely be playing the main villain of Phase five. 

he Panel also showcased footage from the upcoming Secret Invasion series which stars Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury and Ben Mendelsohn as the Skrull Talos.

The crossover event series showcases a faction of shapeshifting Skrulls who have been infiltrating Earth for years.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 was also put under the spotlight, with the big news there being that Gamora has joined the Ravagers and, as you might expect, has no memory of Peter Quill or her teammates.

It was also revealed that Chukwudi Iwuji will be playing High Evolutionary and not the Silver Surfer in the movie.

The Movie will focus on Peter Quill who is still dealing with the loss of Gamora and must rally his team against a new and powerful threat.

Finally, while these weren't mentioned during the panel itself, Marvel Studios has quietly dated an additional six movies that will obviously be part of Phase 6. Expect them to be announced at D23.
