Tom Cruise jumps out of a plane to wish everyone a Happy Holidays from the sets of Mission Impossible 8

The actor who is currently filming Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part Two, took the time to thank fans for supporting his recent movie Top Gun: Maverick.

And in typical Tom Cruise fashion, the actor did while free-falling from a plane during the filming of Dead Reckoning Part Two in South Africa.

Top Gun: Maverick directed by Joseph Kosinski, is the highest-grossing movie of 2022 and the first Tom Cruise movie to gross over one billion dollars at the box office.

The movie is the sequel to the classic 1986 film Top Gun which was directed by the late Tony Scott and followed a group of young airforce pilots in a top-secret training program.

Meanhwile the next entry in the Mission Impossible franchise is a two-parter, with part one set to hit theaters in July 2023. The movie and its sequel are rumored to be the final entries in the franchise.

The franchise began in 1996 with Mission Impossible and has spawned six entries so far with parts 7 and 8 releasing in 2023 and 2024 respectively.

The franchise has grossed over 3.5 billion dollars worldwide making it the 16 highest-grossing franchise of all time.

Director Christopher McQuarrie who has helmed the last three entries in the franchise will be directing Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One and Two.

Fraser Taggart will be in charge of cinematography, and Eddie Hamilton will be handling the editing with Lorne Balfe handling the music

The main cast of the movie includes Tom Cruise, Ving Rhames, Simon Pegg, Rebecca Ferguson, Vanessa Kirby, Hayley Atwell, Shea Whigham, Marcin Dorocinski, Pom Klementieff, Esai Morales, Rob Delaney, Henry Czerny, Cary Elwes.

In addition, the supporting cast includes Indira Varma, Mark Gatiss, Charles Parnell, Greg Davis, Marcin Dorociński, Lampros Kalfuntzos, and Mariela Garriga.

Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One will hi theaters worldiwde July 14, 2023.
