Aamir Khan is regarded as one of the most successful actors and producers of Bollywood. He has always valued quality over quantity in his work. His blockbusters include Lagaan, Rang De Basanti, Fana, PK, and Dangal. The superstar recently made a shocking confession that he once thought of leaving the film industry because he was frustrated with himself for not spending enough time with his children Junaid Khan, Ira Khan, and Azad Rao Khan.

The actor also revealed that this concept occurred to him approximately 2.5 years ago. “I realized I was so lost in my passion that I hadn't given enough time to my relationships. I was disturbed and unhappy. I would have left films if not for my children. I was angry and irritated with myself," he told News18. The Lagaan fame actor has also revealed the wedding date of his daughter Ira Khan to fitness instructor Nupur Shikhare on January 3, 2024, saying, “Nupur is like a son. I'm happy. I get emotional very easily. I'm going to cry a lot at the wedding. The family is already concerned about it," he said.

On World Mental Health Day, the actor also disclosed that he had been in therapy for almost two years. In the live session with daughter Ira, the actor said one should always consult a therapist when under stress or experiencing emotional troubles. It has immensely aided him in better understanding and creating a better version of himself. The 52-year-old actor had announced last year that he is planning to step away from Bollywood, soon after the release of his most recent film, Laal Singh Chaddha, which did not fare well at the box office.

Meanwhile, Aamir is set to make a comeback with Sitare Zameen Par. He responded to comments from those who pointed out that the title was similar to his 2007 film, Taare Zameen Par. He said this film would make the audience laugh unlike the previous which made them emotional. In addition, the actor is producing Sunny Deol and Rajkumar Santoshi's Lahore 1947, as well as Kiran Rao's upcoming movie Laapataa Ladies.
