Akshay Kumar and Radhika Madan kickstart shooting Soorarai Pottru Hindi remake, actor asks fans to suggest title

Akshay Kumar took to his social media handle to announce the kickstarting of the Soorarai Pottru Hindi remake shoot wherein he will be seen alongside Radhika Madan. The original 2020 Tamil movie starred Suriya and Aparna Balamurali in the lead roles. Akshay shared a beautiful video featuring him and Radhika along with a lovely message.

The video has Akshay Kumar, Sudha Kongara who was the director of the original film, and Radhika Madan wearing a traditional red saree. Radhika can be seen breaking a coconut on the floor which marks the beginning of anything auspicious. Akshay and Sudha can be seen cheering after the actress breaks the same.

Akshay Kumar captioned the same stating, “With the auspicious coconut-breaking and a small prayer in our heart, we begin the filming of our yet untitled film which is about dreams and the power of it. In case you’ll have any title suggestions, do share and of course your best wishes.” Take a look at his post.

The superstar shared a Ganesha mantra in the backdrop of the video. Earlier a source close to the project had revealed to Peeping Moon, “Akshay Kumar has been in talks for this film for the last six months, and although he had given his verbal nod last year itself, he signed on the dotted line just recently. The Hindi screenplay has been written as terrifically as the original, and Akshay loved how it has been adapted into a North Indian setting without taking away the emotional and inspirational core of it.”

By the look of the post, it seems that Sudha Kongara will also be directing the Hindi remake. The movie will also mark the first collaboration of Akshay Kumar and Radhika Madan. Soorarai Pottru is said to be based on the life of Simplify Deccan founder GR Gopinath.
