Arjun Rampal says girlfriend Gabriella Demetriades is 'not at all into marriage', talks about societal pressure

Arjun Rampal has opened up about his relationship with girlfriend Gabriella Demetriades and revealed that they are happy with their relationship as it is and are not keen on tying the knot anytime soon. The couple has a son together, Arik who was born in 2019.

The actor was asked about facing societal pressure of getting married and told Pinkvilla in an interview, “Humari shaadi to ho gayi hai na. Dil dil se mil gaye hain aur kya. (We are already married. Our hearts have connected. What more do you need)? You need a piece of paper to validate it? I don’t think so and even she doesn’t. She is the one who is not at all into marriage.”

Gabriella and Arjun are in a live –in relationship and are extremely private about their relationship.

During the interaction he also called announcing their pregnancy in 2019 as a ‘big step’. Arjun said he knew that the announcement would lead to a lot of public scrutiny but he and Gabriella decided to focus on their happy moment instead of paying heed to the opinions of others.

Their son Arik turns 3 years old in July this year.

Arjun who formerly married to model Mehr Jesia for 20 years till they announced their separation in 2018 and were eventually legally divorced in November 2019. The actor has two daughters with Mehr, Myra and Mahikaa who live with their mother.

The Daddy actor had in 2019 spoken about how he met girlfriend Gabriella and had said in an interview, "We met through common friends. So, what can I say? That she stalked me? Wishful thinking that, buddy! It’s only been a year since we started dating and here we are. For keeps. And I must add that it was of prime importance that my daughters should accept her as part of the family. I’m blessed that they have, no questions asked.”
