Big blow to Taapsee Pannu starrer Dobaaraa as shows get cancelled on first day of release

The actor-director duo Taapsee Pannu and Anurag Kashyap had once candidly asked the audience to boycott their upcoming film, Dobaaraa . As the movie is finally released in theatres today, netizens feel that it doesn’t need to be boycotted because the film itself registered low occupancy.

Although Twitterati fulfilled Taapsee and Anurag’s wish to trend Boycott Dobaaraa, much before the film’s shows were cancelled due to no audience. Just a few hours ago, trade analyst Sumit Chadel tweeted that the suspense thriller had a disastrous opening. “#Dobaaraa is off to a DISASTROUS start at the box office, film is registering merely 2-3% occupancy while many early shows are getting canceled due to NO AUDIENCE..”, he tweeted.

Even KRK took a dig at Taapsee’s film and wrote, “Biggest actress of Bollywood @taapsee film #Dobaaraa released in 215 screens today. And all the morning shows are canceled because of no audience. Hahaha!” Following this, Twitterati made fun of the movie’s first-day blow. One of the users wrote, “Movie #Dobaaraa of @taapsee & @anuragkashyap72 has made new records. It is officially a movie with highest first day-first show cancellation. Lol”

While another commented, “We didn’t boycott #Dobaaraa even after Topsee and WeedRAG begged us to as we knew people won’t even notice it coming and going out of the theatres.” “#Dobaaraa fully empty on a friday night. #AnuragKashyap and #TapseePannu challenged public and they got what they deserve!” added another.
