Christopher Nolan's Oppenheimer's first trailer is out and it looks like this could be the director's best film yet

    The trailer for the upcoming biopic is intense and promises to tell us the untold story behind the creation of the first nuclear bomb.

    The first official trailer for director Christopher Nolan 's upcoming biopic Oppenheimer had finally dropped and it gives us an inside look into the creation of the first nuclear bomb as well as its creator.

    Cillian Murphy plays the role of J. Robert Oppenheimer, the man in charge of the Manhattan Project, the code name used by the US government for their Nuclear weapon program during the Second World War.

    In the trailer, Oppenheimer says "They won’t fear it until they understand it. And they won’t understand it until they’ve used it."

    From this statement, it is clear that the scientist felt that once humanity saw the destructive capability of the weapon they would realize that it should never be used again.

    The movie will also focus on Oppenheimer's personal life during his involvement in project Manhattan, during the devolvement of the weapon Oppenheimer was under investigation by the FBI on suspicion of being a communist, which put him and his family under a lot of pressure.

    The movie marks actor Cillian Murphy and director Christopher Nolan but will mark the first time he will be playing the lead in one of his movies.

    The movie has a budget of one hundred million dollars and production began in February of 2022 in New Jersy, the movie is also the first film to shoot sections in IMAX black and white and also used practical effects to simulate the explosion of a nuclear bomb instead of CGI.

    The movie is based on the book American Prometheus, with the screenplay being written by Christopher Nolan. The director's long-time collaborator Hoyte van Hoytema was in charge of the cinematography.

    The movie boasts of an ensemble cast of some of the biggest names in Hollywood that include Emily Blunt, Robert Downey Jr., Matt Damon, Rami Malek, Florence Pug,h Benny Safdie, Michael Angaran,o Josh Hartnett, and Kenneth Branagh.

    The supporting cast of the movie includes Dane DeHaan, Jack Quaid, Matthew Modine, Dylan Arnold, Alden Ehrenreich, David Krumholtz, David Dastmalchian, and Jason Clarke.

     Oppenheimer will hit theaters worldwide on July 21, 2023.
