Dadasaheb Phalke Awards: Netizens call Alia & Rekha siblings; Varun gets trolled for touching Anupam Kher’s feet

Many Bollywood stars got together under one roof last night to attend the prestigious Dadasaheb Phalke Film Awards 2023. But two ladies who turned heads on arrival were Alia Bhatt and Rekha . They looked gorgeous twinning in elegant sarees as they walked the red carpet together. They couldn’t stop showering each other with love and left fans gushing over their camaraderie. Some netizens even felt that they looked like siblings! For instance, one social media user wrote: “Rekha ji is a vampire! She’s aging backwards! She and alia could pass for siblings!”

Meanwhile, many compared Alia to Madhuri Dixit. A comment read: “Alia looks so much like Madhuri sometimes”, whereas another netizen wrote: “Ek pal ke liye laga ye Madhuri Dixit hai...😍😍 looking so cute alia & World prettiest women Rekha mam😍😍.” Well, Alia and Rekha ji’s red carpet greeting at the event is not the only video that went viral on social media last night. Another clip which is doing the rounds is of actor Varun Dhawan rushing to meet Anupam Kher . He greeted the veteran star by touching his feet out of respect and then gave him a tight hug.

It is a really sweet video and many fans are even lauding Varun for showing respect to his seniors. However, there are some who are trolling him in the comment section below for unbelievable reasons! Well, kuchh toh log kahenge. Nevertheless, it was a rewarding evening for both Alia and Varun. While the latter won Critics Best Actor award, the Gangubai Kathiawadi actress was honoured with the Best Actress award.
