Dave Bautista is menacing in the nail biting first trailer for M. Night Shyamalan's thriller Knock at the Cabin

    The latest thriller from veteran director M. Night Shyamalan who has been making a meteoric comeback with movies like Spilt, Glass, and the recent Old is all set to excite audiences with his next project Knock at the Cabin.

    The movie is based on the award-winning book The Cabin at the End of the World by Paul Tremblay and is the story of a family of three that consists of Andrew, Eric, and their adopted daughter Wen are taken hostage by four strangers who demand they make the ultimate sacrifice to avert the apocalypse.

    Dave Bautista plays the role of one of the captors Leonard, who seems reluctant and in his own words "heartbroken" for doing this to the family but he and the other three truly believe that they need to do this in order to stop the apocalypse.

    Joining him are Rupert Grint as Redmond, Nikki Amuka-Bird as Adriane, and Abby Quinn as Sabrina.

    Jonathan Groff and Ben Aldridge play the parents Andrew and respectively with Kristen Cui play the role of their eight-year-old daughter Wen.

     M. Night Shyamalan is the perfect pick to direct the thriller considering his track record with the genre, even his recent movies like Old which polarised critics managed to become a box office success.

    M. Night Shyamalan also wrote the script for the movie along with Steve Desmond Michael Sherman, the movie is also produced under the banner of Blinding Edge Pictures along with Perfect World Pictures.

    Knock at the Cabin is set to hit theaters on February 3, 2023.
