Deepika Padukone is grateful for having her reference in Abhishek Bachchan's Dasvi trailer

Actor Deepika Padukone has expressed her gratitude to the team of Abhishek Bachchan starrer Dasvi for mentioning her name in the trailer. The actor shared the movie trailer on her social media handle and wished the team all the luck.

The first trailer of Dasvi, featuring Abhishek Bachchan in the lead role, was released on Wednesday. In one of the scenes in the trailer video, the actor, who plays a corrupt politician in jail, was flaunting his English speaking skills. In the process, he was interrupted by his jail inmate who was heard saying, “Ranveer loves Deepika.” Replying to this, Abhishek says,” Everybody loves Deepika.”

The particular scene mentioning Deepika Padukone became viral on social media and eventually caught the actress’ attention. Overwhelmed by it, the actor took to her Instagram story and shared the Dasvi trailer with the caption that read,”Thank you team Dasvi for the love. Wishing you guys the best."

Directed by Tushar Jalota, Dasvi revolves around a Jaat politician, who was put in jail following a scam and wants to appear for 10th board exam during his stay in prison. The film also stars Yami Gautam and Nimrat Kaur in supporting roles. Produced by Dinesh Vijan in collaboration with JioStudios, the movie is set to stream on Netflix and Jiocinemas on April 7, 2022.

Talking about Deepika, the actor is currently busy shooting in Spain for a much-awaited project titled Pathan with Shah Rukh Khan and John Abraham. Earlier this week, pictures of the actor from the film’s set were doing rounds on the internet. In one of the pictures, Deepika was spotted wearing a yellow swimsuit while shooting for a sequence poolside. The fans are going gaga over her hot look from the film and have been flooding comments on social media.
