Eerie! Shah Rukh Khan had predicted Ranveer Singh’s fate ‘for not wearing clothes’ long before the uproar around his nude pictures

Though Ranveer Singh ’s nude photoshoot controversy doesn’t seem to die down anytime soon, we found another interesting anecdote related to it. Did you know superstar Shah Rukh khan already predicted Singh’s fate with not wearing clothes on Koffee With Karan ? In an old episode of Karan Johar’s chat show, SRK once believed that Singh is likely to get arrested for his sartorial choices.

For the unversed, Singh sent the internet into meltdown with his nude photo shoot with Paper magazine. His naked pictures landed him in legal trouble as NGO filed a complaint with Mumbai Police for hurting women’s sentiments.

On the Koffee couch, SRK was asked what he would think can be the reason if he ever heard that Ranveer Singh was arrested. To which SRK replied, “For wearing clothes and for not wearing clothes". The 2017 episode of the chat show saw Shah Rukh gracing the couch along with his Dear Zindagi co-star Alia Bhatt. Well, it is quite surreal that his words somewhat turned real. Since an FIR has been registered against Singh under Indian Penal Code Sections 292 (sale of obscene books, etc), 293 (sale of obscene objects to young people), 509 (word, gesture or act intended to insult the modesty of a woman), and provisions of the Information Technology Act.

Meanwhile, the latest report suggests that people in Madhya Pradesh are donating clothing in a box with a photo from Singh’s nude photoshoot as part of their protest. Also, the political party workers started an initiative called Neki ki Diwar in protest and called out his act against Indian culture. However, the celebrities like Milind Soman, Alia Bhatt, and Arjun Kapoor, among others have come out in support of Singh’s decision.

In terms of work, Singh will next be seen in Karan’s Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani co-starring Alia Bhatt. The film also has Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan, and Shabana Azmi in pivotal roles. Besides it, the actor also Rohit Shetty’s Cirkus alongside Pooja Hegde and Jacqueline Fernandez.
