    Shilpa Shetty Kundra celebrated Independence Day by hoisting the national flag at her home with her family. On Tuesday, she took to her Instagram handle and posted the video with the caption, “Vande Mataram.” In the clip, she could be seen hoisting the flag with her kids Viaan and Samisha. Her mother Sunanda Shetty and husband Raj Kundra also accompanied her. As the video went online, a section of social media users trolled her for wearing footwear while hoisting the tricolour. However, she hit back at the trolls by asking them to get their facts right before spreading negativity on this special day.

    Reacting to the clip, one of the users wrote, “Sorry ma'am, It would have been better to take off the shoes and raise the flag.” Another user commented, “Mam chappal pehene k kon jhanda Fehrata hai pls aage se Aisa na kare.“ Some of the other comments were, “Jai hind par apko mem. Atleast apne footwear to nikal Leni chaiye kiya apko itna b nhi pta”, “Chappal penke kon flag hosting kartahe madam ??” and “Aapko chappal to utar Dene the, it's disrespecting of our flag.”

    Addressing the trolls, the Dhadkan actress wrote,“I am aware of the “Rules” of conduct while hoisting the flag ,the RESPECT for my country and THE FLAG stems from my heart and not up for questioning . I am a proud Indian . Today’s post was to share and celebrate that emotion. To all the trollers( that I ignore usually )DO NOT appreciate YOU airing your ignorance and spreading negativity on this Day . So get your facts rights and please BACK OFF, sic.”

    Meanwhile, Shilpa is currently seen as a judge on the reality show India’s Got Talent along with Kirron Kher and Badshah. Besides it, she is geared up for the release of her upcoming digital debut series India Police Force, directed by Rohit Shetty. In the cop series, she will be sharing the screen space with Sidharth Malhotra and Vivek Oberoi.
