Jacqueline Fernandez makes a rare appearance after being named in extortion case, offers prayers at Mukteshwar Temple

Ever since Jacqueline Fernandez was accused in the extortion case involving conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar, she has refrained from the media glare. She has been rarely spotted out and about in the city as she usually did. Well, recently she stepped out to take blessings at Mukteshwar Temple in Mumbai. Dressed in a traditional blue and white salwar kameez, the actress looked serious as she got inside her car without waving at the paparazzi stationed outside the temple. 

Recently, the Enforcement Directorate(ED) named Jacqueline as one of the accused in the Rs 200 crore extortion case. She has previously been summoned on several occasions for questioning in the case after her connection with Sukesh, who is under police custody. Well, Jacqueline’s lawyer has claimed that they have not been officially notified of ED’s latest accusation. He maintained that no communication from either ED or Honourable court has happened that proves Jacqueline is named as accused in the case.

Well, Jacqueline has admitted to receiving expensive gifts from conman Sukesh, however, she denied being in a relationship with him. Well, several pictures of the two did rounds on the internet at the time the money laundering case against Sukesh was being investigated. It has also been reported that the actress was in regular contact with Sukesh since February and till he got nabbed in August last year.

Meanwhile, Jacqueline’s legal trouble has devastated her personal and professional life. It is being reported that producers are not willing to sign her up for new projects because there is uncertainty about her arrest in the said case. She was last seen in Vikrant Rona alongside Kiccha Sudeep. She will next be seen in Rohit Shetty’s Cirkus starring Ranveer Singh and Pooja Hegde. She also has Abhishek Sharma’s Ram Setu co-starring Akshay Kumar and Nushrratt Bharuccha.
