Jugjugg Jeeyo: Neetu Kapoor reveals her 1st day on set was horrible; ‘when your partner has left you, you’re not strong’

Jugjugg Jeeyo came to Neetu Kapoor at a time when she needed it the most. The veteran actress was devastated after losing her husband Rishi Kapoor and felt that her life had no purpose anymore. That’s when, during a dinner party, filmmaker Karan Johar narrated the comedy drama to her. The script was so good and convincing that she could not say no. With her daughter Riddhima and son Ranbir Kapoor ’s support, the actress decided to make her Bollywood comeback after 9 years and made her way to the film’s set.

But it wasn’t easy for Neetu. In a chat with Mid Day, the actress remembered her first day back on set. She revealed, “It was horrible. I was shaking at the thought of this film. When your partner has left you, you are not strong. I wasn’t healed when I started working on this. But everything worked out for the best for this movie. The good thing about me is that I have an immense amount of patience. I don’t get tired easily. I have been acting since I was a child.”

She has done over 80 films in her celebrated career as an actress which is why the camera as well as movie sets are like second home to her. But the challenge is emoting, which she feels needed some fine tuning. Well, after 9 years, Neetu is now ready to shine on the big screen this Friday when the film arrives in theatres. While Anil Kapoor will be seen as her on-screen husband, Varun Dhawan and Kiara Advani are playing their reel-life son and bahu who want a divorce.
