Kamaal Rashid Khan arrested for the 2nd time, sent to 14-day judicial custody for harassing and flashing complainant

Just last week actor, critic and filmmaker Kamaal Rashid Khan was arrested by Malad police as soon as he landed at the Mumbai airport over his controversial tweets from 2020. Two years ago, this complaint was filed against him by Yuva Sena's core committee member Rahul Kanal after KRK posted derogatory tweets about late actors Rishi Kapoor and Irrfan Khan. Well, the Versova police have now taken him into custody over another complaint filed in 2021 by a fitness instructor and actor.

A tweet shared by ANI revealed: “Kamaal Rashid Khan arrested by Versova Police for demanding sexual favours & holding the complainant’s hand in the first week of January 2019. Versova Police arrested him by transfer order of 24th MM Court, Borivali, Mumbai: Versova Police.” KRK was presented in Bandra court on Sunday, after which he was sent to 14-day judicial custody. According to a report shared by TOI, the complainant did not file a case earlier because she was scared of KRK’s connections in the industry.

The complainant and KRK had exchanged numbers when they met at a house party and he offered her a role. He reportedly began sending her sexually explicit messages. When he invited her to his birthday in January 2019 she could not make it, so she met with him at his house on a later date. She claims that KRK spiked her juice after which he flashed her and also touched her inappropriately. She saved herself and ran away. Well, Kamaal’s lawyer claims that the allegations are false and even argued that the complainant has filed a case against the actor 18 long months after the alleged incident.

Apart from his one film that failed miserably, KRK is known for his controversial tweets against Bollywood and his film reviews on social media.
