KK's desmise: Film and music fraternity bid an emotional farewell to the late singer

    In a news that has shocked the entire film and music fraternity as well as millions of music enthusiasts, veteran singer KK passed away owing to a heart attack after he performed at a concert in Kolkata on Tuesday (May 31). Many members of the entertainment and music fraternity took to their social media handles to mourn the loss of the singer.

    In a news that has shocked the entire film and music fraternity as well as millions of music enthusiasts, veteran singer KK passed away owing to a heart attack after he performed at a concert in Kolkata on Tuesday (May 31). The singer’s health had deteriorated at his hotel after he had wrapped up his concert but even though he was rushed to the CMRI Hospital post that, he was pronounced dead on reaching there. Now many members of the entertainment and music fraternity took to their social media handles to mourn the loss of the singer.

    Shreya Ghoshal tweeted, “I am unable to wrap my head around this news. Numb. #KK Why! This is too hard to accept! Heart is shattered in pieces.” On the other hand, Neil Nitin Mukesh stated, “Extremely upsetting and shocking news of one of finest singers of our generation, everyone’s dear, KK is no more with us. His songs have made him immortal. He will be loved forever. His song Hai junoon, from our film Newyork, still brings millions hope of love and dreams.”

    Karan Johar tweeted a picture of KK singing and wrote, “Heartbreaking news on the sudden passing away of such an incredible talent…. RIP KK. the entertainment world has lost a true artist today…. Om Shanti.” While Akshay Kumar stated, “Extremely sad and shocked to know of the sad demise of KK. What a loss! Om Shanti.”

    Ajay Devgn tweeted, “It seems so ominous. The news of KK’s death that too right after a live performance is terrible. He sang for films I was associated with, so his loss seems that much more personal. RIP #KrishnakumarKunnath. Prayers & condolences to his family.”

    Sonu Nigam shared a video of KK informing his fans about his concert in Kolkata and wrote, “KK Mere Bhai Not Done.” Apart from this, Varun Dhawan , Vicky Kaushal , Ashish Chanchlani, Mika Singh, and others have also expressed their condolences. Prime Minister Narendra Modi wrote, “Saddened by the untimely demise of noted singer Krishnakumar Kunnath popularly known as KK. His songs reflected a wide range of emotions as struck a chord with people of all age groups. We will always remember him through his songs. Condolences to his family and fans. Om Shanti.”
