Adivi Sesh’s Major was released into the theatres on June 3 even though the movie did a good opening performance in the South, it opened to a slow start in the Hindi belt. The movie had opened to Rs 96 lakh on its first day in the Hindi belt but was predicted to show a jump on its second day. The prediction has come true as the movie shows favorable growth on its second day.

Film analyst Ramesh Bala took to his Twitter handle to state that Major has witnessed a 50% jump in its collections in the Hindi belt. Bala tweeted, “#Major sees a huge 50% jump in Hindi circuits today (Day 2), compared to yesterday (Day 1).. Good content always prevails.. @AdiviSesh (sic)." Reportedly, the confirmed figures for the movie’s collections are yet to come out. Take a look at the same.

Not only this but Major also earned Rs 1.5 crore on its first day in the USA. It has surpassed Akshay Kumar ’s Samrat Prithviraj and is just slightly trailing behind Kamal Haasan ’s Vikram. Earlier when the movie had opened to an underwhelming collection on its first day in the Hindi belt, trade analyst Taran Adarsh had tweeted, “Major is below the mark on Day 1... Riding on tremendous critical acclaim and glowing word of mouth, the numbers need to multiply over the weekend for a healthy weekend total... Fri 96 lakhs. #India biz. #Hindi version. #Telugu version has opened very well (sic)."

The positive word of mouth for Major seems to be boosting up the collections of the movie. Adivi Sesh has been garnering a tremendously positive response for his performance as Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan, the hero of 26/11. The movie also stars Saiee Manjrekar, Prakash Raj , Revathi , and Shobhita Shulipala in the lead roles. It has been helmed by Sashi Kiran Tikka and produced by Mahesh Babu.
