    Bollywood heartthrob Ranbir Kapoor is on an absolute roll, winning laurels for his work and hearts with his performances. A few weeks ago he won the Best Actor award at the 69th Filmfare Awards 2024 for his blockbuster hit film Animal. Well, last night he was honoured for his incredible contribution in the entertainment sector with the Lokmat Maharashtrian of the Year award. This award was presented to him by veteran superstar Jeetendra, who got emotional during the ceremony as he remembered Ranbir’s late father and his good friend Rishi Kapoor.

    A video from the award ceremony has now surfaced on social media, where Jeetendra fondly remembers his Badalte Rishtey co-star Rishi while lauding Ranbir. Jeetu ji revealed that since the previous day his wife, his daughter and his son have been guiding him about what to say while presenting the award to Ranbir. He shared, “Mujhe bohot khushi hai ki mere jigri yaar, mere lakhte jigar, mera sab kuchh, Rishi Kapoor ke bete ko yeh award mila. Yeh mere liye bohot khushi ki baat hai. And jis aude pe aaj yeh pohoncha hai yeh iski mehnat hai.”

    After the award ceremony came to an end, Ranbir escorted Jeetendra to his car, protecting him from the crowd, while the latter showered him with love and kisses. A video of the same has gone viral, which is winning the internet. Jeetu ji looks genuinely happy for Ranbir’s victory, which is filling hearts with love. In the comment section below, one social media user shared, “Moment hai bhai moment hai ❤️🙌”, whereas another fan of the Animal actor wrote: “Ranbir Deserves to be ❤️🙌❤️Vo tarif ke layak hai hi 🙌❤️.” A third comment read: “True friends of Rishi Kapoor.”

    On the film front, Ranbir will next be seen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love and War with Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal. He also has the sequel to Animal, titled Animal Park, in his kitty.
