Mohanlal rejoins the cast and crew of Lijo Jose Pellissery's 'Malaikottai Vaaliban'

    Mohanlal took a break from the sets of Malaikottai Vaaliban to meet his obligations with several other projects he has lined up and to attend the funeral of the legendary Malayalam comedian and actor Innocent.

    Mohanlal and innocent had worked together on multiple projects and the two shared a close friendship. The duo has been a part of iconic movies like Devasuram, Vietnam Colony, Manichitrathazhu, and more.

    Director Lijo Jose Pellissery's Malaikottai Valiban is one of the most anticipated Mohanlal movies of 2023. The project is considered by many fans to come back for the veteran actor who had a poor run at the box office last year.

    According to a recent report, the first teaser for the movie is expected to release this Vishu on April 14th. The report also claims that the actor will sport two different looks in the movie.

    The crew of Malaikottai Valiban just wrapped up the Rajasthan schedule of the project including a big action sequence in Pokhran with over 200 extras.

    Malaikottai Vaaliban is Mohanlal's first collaboration with critically acclaimed director Lijo Jose Pellissery, the movie reportedly has a massive budget and a lot of big stars are rumored to be a part of the project.

    Lijo Jose Pellisery is one of the most talented directors working in the Malayalam film industry. He has consistently delivered back-to-back critical hits.

    Director Lijo Jose Pellissery did reveal that this movie will be his first attempt at making a commercial cinema and that fans should be excited.

    The director's 2019 movie, Jallikattu was selected as India's official entry at the 93rd Academy Awards, becoming the third Malayalam movie to do so.

    Joining Mohanlal the rest of the supporting cast of Malaikottai Vaaliban includes Jiiva, Katha Nandi, Hareesh Peradi, Danish Sait, and Sonalee Kulkarni.

    The cinematography is being helmed by Madhu Neelakandan, editing by Deepu Joseph, and music is being handled by Prashant Pillai, who is a frequent collaborator with director Lijo Jose Pellissery.
