Priyanka Chopra’s mother expresses happiness on becoming a ‘nani’; reveals when the baby will be named

Global icon Priyanka Chopra Jonas and her singer husband Nick Jonas gave their fans a pleasant surprise when they announced that they have become parents! In January this year, the happily married couple took to social media to announce that they have welcomed their first child via surrogate and requested privacy to focus on their family. While they did not reveal the gender of their baby, reports suggested that Priyanka and Nick have been blessed with a daughter. Well, PeeCee’s mother Dr Madhu Chopra has now revealed when her grandchild will be named.

In a media interaction on the 14th anniversary of her cosmetic clinic, Dr Madhu expressed her happiness of becoming a grandmother. She shared, “Nani bane toh bahut bahut khushi hui mujhe (I was so happy to become a grandmother).” She went on to add, “I am only smiling all the time. I'm very happy.” Talking about Priyanka and Nick’s baby’s name, the actress’ mother explained, “ Abhi nahi rakha hai. Jab pandit naam nikaalege tab hoga. Abhi nahi (We haven't finalized the name yet. When the priest gives us the name, then it will happen. Not now).”

Just a few days after Priyanka and Nick had announced the ‘good news’, rumors began doing the rounds about how the actress has walked out of Farhan Akhtar’s much awaited Jee Le Zaraa co-starring Alia Bhatt and Katrina Kaif . It was suggested that PeeCee wants to focus on her family life. However, a source close to Priyanka had later revealed that these rumors are baseless and untrue.
