Rakhi Sawant arrested over Sherlyn Chopra's police complaint for using 'objectional language'

The verbal spat with Sherlyn Chopra has caused big trouble for Rakhi Sawant . Just when she was basking in the joy of her marriage with Adil Durrani, she got arrested by Amboli Police on Thursday. Actually, Sherlyn had filed an FIR against her for using objectionable language a while ago when the two fought over Sajid Khan ’s participation in Bigg Boss 16.

Sherlyn took to Twitter to confirm Rakhi’s arrest. She wrote, “BREAKING NEWS!!! AMBOLI POLICE HAS ARRESTED RAKHI SAWANT IN RESPECT WITH FIR 883/2022 YESTERDAY, RAKHI SAWANT’S ABA 1870/2022 WAS REJECTED BY MUMBAI SESSIONS COURT." She was arrested at a time when she was all set to launch her dance academy in Mumbai today with her husband Adil.

Back in November 2022, Rakhi slammed Sherlyn for her statement against #MeToo accused Sajid Khan. Actually, Sherlyn protested against Sajid Khan and his participation in Salman Khan-hosted reality show Bigg Boss. She had gone to Juhu Police Station to record her statement against Sajid. However, Rakhi defended Sajid while talking to the paparazzi, she said that the police knows which complaint has merit and which does not. Following which Sherlyn filed a complaint against Rakhi for alleged defamation.

An FIR was registered against Rakhi and her lawyer Falguni Brahmbatt at Amboli police station, Mumbai, under Indian Penal Code sections 354-A (sexual harassment), 500 (defamation) and sections of Information Technology Act. Later, Rakhi too filed a complaint against Sherlyn at Oshiwara police station, claiming that Sherlyn in a video, accused her of changing boyfriends.
