Ranveer Singh on Deepika Padukone decorating their new home: ‘She’s like a little girl with a doll house’

One of Tinsel Town’s favorite jodis, Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone are the perfect example of a modern power couple. They respect each other and are equals, may it be in the industry or back at home. So when they got married and Ranveer moved into Deepika’s house instead of the other way round, it wasn’t a big surprise. It was just incredibly heartwarming because he wanted her to be comfortable. Talk about husband goals! Well, after four long years, the happy couple has now bought their first house together and is excited about turning it into a home.

Recently Ranveer became the first ever Bollywood star to grace the cover of Esquire Singapore. During his interview with the publication, he opened up about his and Deepika’s new house which the actress is busy decorating at the moment. Describing his star wife as ‘very gharelu’, Ranveer explained that the couple prefers spending time at home rather than going out. So their new house, which is a few hours away from the city, is just perfect for them-- Ranveer, Deepika and their quality ‘me-time’.

The actor was quoted saying, “She’s put her heart into decorating it and she’s very house-proud, and I love observing that child-like excitement in her and I encourage her to do it more and more. She’s a closeted interior decorator with a lot of fluid creativity. I tease her that she’s like a little girl with a doll house. She loves playing homemaker, and I find that extremely endearing. So, at this moment, I just want to spend quality time with my wife at home.”

Well, we can’t wait to see pictures of their new home when it’s ready! On the work front, Ranveer is currently gearing up for the release of his next collaboration with Rohit Shetty, titled Cirkus. Not only does the comedy feature him in his first ever double role, but also marks Ranveer’s reunion with Deepika who will be seen in a smashing cameo.
