Earlier, it was speculated that Bade Miyan Chote Miyan will be shelved owing to Akshay’s box office failure with Samrat Prithviraj. However, the movie’s director dismissed all the rumours and called them absolutely baseless. In another statement, he clarified that the upcoming movie is completely unrelated to the 1998 movie Bade Miyan Chote Miyan starring Amitabh Bachchan and Govinda.

Further, the upcoming movie is a big-budget movie and after Tiger’s recent flop Heropanti 2, the makers reportedly asked the actor to reconsider his fees. According to Bollywood Hungama, Tiger slashed his fees to Rs 25 crore to work in Vashu Bhagnani’s production venture. Meanwhile, the makers have not yet decided on the female cast in the upcoming movie. However, they have earlier announced that it is set to release in Christmas 2023.

Besides Bade Miyan Chote Miya, Akshay also has Ram Setu, Selfiee, and OMG 3 among others in the pipeline. While Tiger has signed Screw Dheela under Dharma Productions which is on the backburner reportedly due to date issues.
