    Varun Dhawan and Kiara Advani ’s family drama Jugjugg Jeeyo crossed Rs 100 crore worldwide and has so far registered a lifetime collection of Rs 83 .12 crore at the domestic box office. The film is close to covering its total production budget of Rs 95 crore. The latest source revealed that the major of the production cost was invested in the fees of the star cast, with Varun emerging as the highest paid among them.

The film stars Varun and Kiara as one couple and Neetu Kapoor and Anil Kapoor as another couple, who are heading for divorce but later realizes the importance of the marital bond. The film also has Maniesh Paul, Prajakta Kohli, and Tisca Chopra in the key roles.

    As per Bollywood Hungama reports, the film was made on the budget of Rs 100 crore, out of which Rs 50 crore was alone spent on the cast remunerations, and additional Rs 15 crore was spent on marketing and promotions. A highly placed source revealed that Varun charged Rs 25 crore, the highest amount, while Anil Kapoor took the second highest amount of Rs 10 crore for the movie. Director Raj took Rs 5 crore, Neetu got Rs 4 crore and Kiara was given Rs 3 crore. While this makes up Rs 47 crore, Maniesh, Tisca, and Prajakta took the remaining amount.

    The film was released on June 24 and received positive response from both audiences and critics. With strong advance booking numbers and huge promotions, the film registered Rs 9.28 crore on the opening day. By the end of the first week and second week, the film earned Rs 53.66 crore and Rs 73.71 crore respectively. The film earned Rs 1 crore on Sunday which is a decent number considering the fact that this is the fourth week running for the film.
