What makes Ananya Panday jealous of Janhvi Kapoor, Sara Ali Khan? Actress spills the beans

Even as Ananya Panday has been on a roll with big banner Bollywood movies, the star kid has her fair share of insecurities. In her recent appearance on the chat show, Koffee With Karan, the Liger actress addressed the ‘jealousy’ aspect if she feels toward her contemporaries Sara Ali Khan and Janhvi Kapoor. While she didn’t confess the feelings straight but host and filmmaker Karan Johar admitted it on her behalf.

During the conversation, Karan straightforwardly asked Ananya if she is jealous of Janhvi and Sara. “No, but healthy competition is there,” she answered but Karan didn’t stop there. He hit another question asking if she feels she is better than Sara and Janhvi. To which, she replied, “No, they are all good. I want to be the best. I have my insecurities. I get insecure about stuff because I really wanna be the best.”

However, it was in the Rapid Fire segment when Karan openly declared that Ananya hates her contemporaries. He asked Ananya to tell one scandalous truth and one scandalous lie about herself without telling which is what. She answered, “I kiss and tell” and “I hate my contemporaries”. Then Karan said he thinks that both the answer are true as she hates her contemporaries and has no interest in them.

Ananya has grown with Shah Rukh Khan’s daughter Suhana Khan and Sanjay Dutt’s daughter Shanaya Kapoor. They share a close bond and are BFFs to each other. While Suhana is all set to make her debut with Zoya Akhtar’s The Archies, Shanaya will be soon making her debut with Bedhadak backed by Dharma Productions. When asked Ananya if her friendship will crumble due to industry dynamics as both will soon be her competitors. She said, “I would like to believe that it would not affect our friendship. I think we all have a lot of genuine love for each other. It was a collective dream for us as we all wanted to be actresses. We had discussions, and we played so many acting games. I think I will be as happy for Suhana and Shanaya’s success as I am for mine”
