Dasvi actor Yami Gautam is blissfully enjoying her married life with her husband and director Aditya Dhar . The actor tied the knot with the filmmaker in an intimate ceremony in her home state Himachal Pradesh last year. For her wedding day, she chose to wear her mother’s saree, unlike other Bollywood weddings which have designer lehengas. However, she recently revealed that a few high-end designers have been mean to her and refused to give her outfits citing some reasons best known to them.

On being asked why she draped mum’s saree for her wedding day, Yami said, "I’ve had the privilege to have some really good designers I can lean on. But, even in the fashion industry, there are some high-end designers who don’t give you their outfits because you are not so and so. It is the entire system. I remember I heard that about myself once. That person said, ‘No, that lehenga is not for you’, and I was like ‘What, why?!’, and they said, ‘No, just doesn’t work with that designer’. It was so mean. I don’t understand what the criteria is, how can you make someone feel so bad? But its not true for all designers, some of them are really good with their work and their attitude, but there is always a rotten apple.”

On the professional front, Yami was recently featured as an IPS officer in Dasvi also starring Abhishek Bachchan and Nimrat Kaur. Directed by Tushar Jalota, the film was released on April 7. Talking about her character being appreciated,” It feels good to be finally getting on that path. No one knows the final destination, but I want to take the path where I get to do substantial roles, be a part of good stories and good cinema, be it any genre. I started off really well, I began with a very unconventional role that got a very conventional success.”
