Yo Yo Honey Singh had to pay THIS jaw-dropping alimony to ex-wife Shalini Talwar post their divorce

Singer-rapper Yo Yo Honey Singh is now divorced from his ex-wife Shalini Talwar . The singer had grabbed several eyeballs for an ugly tussle with his former wife wherein the latter had accused him and his family of alleged domestic violence. Not only this but post his divorce, the singer also had to pay a mammoth alimony amount to Shalini.

According to a news report in Times Now Hindi, Shalini Talwar and Yo Yo Honey Singh are no longer a married couple after the District Court Saket accepted their plea for divorce. Reportedly, both Honey and Shalini are extremely contended with the decision and are now looking forward to starting their life afresh. However, the ‘Naughty Saiyaan’ singer had to pay jaw-dropping alimony to his wife as part of the divorce proceedings.

The report stated that Yo Yo Honey Singh had to pay a whopping Rs 1 crore to Shalini Talwar as part of their divorce alimony. The ‘Blue Eyes’ singer gave a cheque for the said amount in an envelope to his former wife after their divorce was sanctioned. Talking about the fateful trouble in their paradise, reports of their breaking marriage started doing the rounds in August last year.

Shalini Talwar had filed a complaint of alleged domestic abuse on Yo Yo Honey Singh and his family. She had furthermore accused the ‘Desi Kalakaar’ singer of cheating on her and taking away her possessions. Apart from this, she had levied some serious allegations against his family too where she stated that her father-in-law had touched her inappropriately.

In one of her statements back then, Shalini Talwar had also alleged that she felt like being treated like a farm animal as she was subjected to continuous cruelty and abuse by Yo Yo Honey Singh and his family. Talking about the former couple, they knew each other for 17 years, being childhood lovers. They had tied the knot in January 2011.
