Djinn teaser: Watch Soubin Shahir play a man possessed in this intriguing teaser for the upcoming fantasy movie

Soubin Shahir who is on a roll with his recent performance in the Mammootty starrer Bheeshma Parvam is all set for his upcoming fantasy movie Djinn. A teaser for the movie dropped today and it looks intriguing. In the teaser, Soubin plays the role of Dhanapalan a man who on the surface appears to be suffering from Dissociative Identity Disorder.

Djinn is a fantasy movie so there could be supernatural elements at play, a Djinn is an evil spirit that possesses vulnerable people. In the teaser we can see Dhanapalan getting various medical treatments for his condition though it seems that his family has given up on him.

We also see Dhanapalan in a second more modern avatar who is getting into a fight at a nightclub. Djinn is directed by Sidharth Bharathan who has an excellent track record of making some really good movies like Nidra, Varnyathil Aashanka, and Chandrettan Evideya.

The movie is written by Rajesh Gopinadhan who previously write the screenplay for the 2016 Dulqueer Salaam starrer Kali.

Prashant Pillai is in charge of the music and National award winner Girish Gangadharan handling the cinematography, Dhjinn is produced by Sudheer VK, Manu, and Mrudul V Nath under Straightline Cinemas productions.

The movie will also feature be one of the last performances by the late K.P.A.C Lalitha

The rest of the cast includes Sharaf U Dheen, Shine Tom Chacko, Santhy Balachandran, Leona Lishoy , Sabumon Abdusamad, Jaffer Idukki, Nishanth Sagar, and Sudheesh

Djinn does not have an official release date but will have a theatrical release later this year
