Dream Girl 2: Chunky hilariously ditches ‘papa ki pari’ Ananya for Pooja aka Ayushmann Khurrana, shares trailer date

This year is pretty exciting for Bollywood with several exciting films on the way. But one character that all movie lovers are desperate to meet again is Pooja. Four years ago, Pooja came into our lives thanks to Ayushmann Khurrana aka Karam– a cross gender actor who won many hearts with his female voice impersonation over the phone in Dream Girl. Well, the sequel is right around the corner and to raise the excitement, Pooja has given us a glimpse into her phone calls with Shah Rukh Khan aka Pathaan, Ranveer Singh and even Ranbir Kapoor so far.

But in the latest promotional video for the film, we were introduced to another unexpected lover of Pooja– the one and only, Chunky Panday. In the video, Dream Girl 2’s lead actress Ananya Panday walks into a vanity room and asks her father to speak to the producers. She is upset because everyone is talking about Pooja, while the film is Ananya’s! When asked to call Balaji, Chunky tells ‘papa ki pari’ not to worry. But as soon as she leaves, he calls Pooja instead. He introduces himself as ‘Ananya ka younger father’. Ayushmann aka Pooja then asks him, “Chunks, Ananya ko bura toh nahi laga naa, uske scene mujhse thode kum hain.”

Hearing this, Chunky hilariously replies, “Lagte reheta hai. Jaise maine Bhavana ko sambhaala hai naa, ussi tarah main Ananya ke bhi bhavana ko sambhaal lunga.” Chunky is at his funniest in this clip and his phone call with Pooja will leave you in splits for sure. The actor then announced that Dream Girl 2 will arrive in theatres on 25th August but the trailer is all set to release on 1st August. In the comment section below, many fans expressed their excitement. For instance, one netizen wrote: “Enough teasing & delaying @ayushmannk 😢 hope this is Final. 😂” Meanwhile another comment read: “Bhai itna promotion karne ke bad movie achi nahi nikli to bura bahut lagega.”

If the movie is as good as these promotions, it will surely be a hit!
