    The third installment in the MCU's Guardians of the Galaxy franchise is in production under the working title of Hot Christmas in Atlanta, Georgia. One of the things to look forward to is the introduction of the MCU character Adam Warlock in the movie.

    The character of Adam Warlock was teased in the post-credit scene for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2, James Gunn has said in previous interviews that Warlock will play a vital role in the third installment.

    Adam Warlock is a being created by the aliens known as Sovereign, with near god-like strength and speed, actor Will Poulter will be playing the role, Poulter is known for his work in the Maze Runner franchise as well as his role in the critically acclaimed horror movie Midsommar.

    In a recent interview with Screenrant director James Gunn had this to say on the character of Adam Warlock, "Oh, he's the best. He's the best. He's killing it. People are going to really love Adam — or love? They're going to appreciate Adam Warlock, I'll say."

    The principal cast from the last two installments like Chris Pratt , Zoe Saldana, and Dave Bautista will reprise their roles as well action star Slyvester Stallone will play the role of Ravager leader Stakar Ogord.

    The Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3 has had a rocky production with Disney 's initial decision to fire director James Gunn. The studio's decision did not go well with fans or the actors of the movie, which led the studio to hire him back.

    However, Gunn took his downtime to direct The Suicide Squad as well as create a spinoff series for HBO Max called The Peacemaker starring John Cena which is set to stream on January 13. The Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3 is set to hit theaters on May 5, 2023
