Mammootty releases the first trailer for Charlie spinoff Kallan D'Souza

Kallan D'Souza starring Soubin Shahir in the lead is a spinoff of 2015 hit Charlie which had Dulquer Salmaan in the lead. The spinoff will focus on the thief D'souza aka Sunikuttan, and his misadventures after his encounter with Charlie.

The movie is directed by Jithu K. Jayan who will be making his directorial debut, joining Soubin will Dlieesh Pothan as a no-nonsense cop who is after D'souza.

Actors Surabhi Lakshmi , Vijayaraghavan, Sreejith Ravi, Santhosh Keezhatoor, Dr. Rony David, Premkumar will appear in supporting roles.

The trailer suggests there's a precious item missing and Soubin's Kallan D'Souza is suspected to be the thief. The trailer teases that the film will have action, comedy and a classic chase for D'Souza. Soubin also played the thief in Charlie and this film is set after the events of the 2015 adventure drama.

While is not known if Dulquer Salmaan will have a cameo in the movie or if any other characters from Charlie would make an appearance.

But considering the close relationship between the two actors, it will not be surprising if Dulquer is involved in some capacity with the project.
