Rajinikanth and Shivarajkumar join the sets of 'Jailer' in Mangalure

    Both Rajinikanth and Shivarajkumar have joined the rest of the cast and crew of Jailer in Mangaluru. Rajinikanth will be on the sets for six days and Shivarajkumar who joined the sets on Monday, will wrap his portions in two days.

    Jailer will be the first time Rajinikanth will be working with Shivarajkumar, the movie also marks the actor's Tamil debut.

    The movie will be the first time Rajinikanth will be working with director Nelson, The director's last movie was the Beast which starred Vijay in the lead role.

    The release of Jailer was pushed back recently to avoid clashing at the box office with director Mani Ratnam's magnum opus Pooniyen Selvam 2.

    Bollywood actor Jackie Shroff has also joined the cast of the movie. This will be the second time Rajinikanth and Jackie Shroff will be working together after the 1987 Bollywood movie 'Uttar Dakshin'.

    Recently the director Nelson roped in Malayalam superstar Mohanlal for a cameo in the movie. The movie was announced by Sun Pictures in February and production officially started in July with shooting taking place in Chennai, Hyderabad, and Coimbatore.

    The movie has an ensemble cast that includes Shiva Rajkumar, Ramya Krishnan, Vasanth Ravi, Yogi Babu, and Vinayakan.

    The music for the movie is composed by Anirudh, making it his third collaboration with Rajinikanth, after Petta and Darbar. Cinematography is handled by Vijay Kartik Kannan and R. Nirmal is in charge of the editing.

    In Jailer Rajinikanth plays the role of a Muthuvel Pandian the warden of the notorious prison. However, the plot of the movie remains under wraps.

    But there is a rumor floating around that in the movie warden Muthuvel Pandian will have to protect his prison after a group of armed thugs breaks in to rescue their captured leader.

    Tamannaah Bhatia has been roped in to play a major role in the movie, marking the first time the actress will be sharing the big screen with Superstar Rajinikanth.

    Jailer will be dubbed in all major Indian languages and is expected to hit theaters worldwide in August.
