The trailer of Nushrratt Bharuccha ’s upcoming film Janhit Mein Jaari was shared earlier this week. The social comedy drama follows the unique story of a woman who takes up the job of a condom sales executive. Things get tough when she gets married and her in-laws find out what she does for a living. Interestingly, another film with a similar concept is in the making at the moment. Titled Chhatriwali , the social family entertainer features Rakul Preet Singh as a condom tester.

In an interview with Mid Day, Rakul shared that she’s unfazed by the fact that her film and the Nushrratt starrer have similar concepts. She was quoted saying, “I don’t look at it like that. There are only seven kinds of stories and nine emotions in the school of filmmaking. How you do permutations and combinations [to tell a story] is up to you.” Rakul went on to explain, “We have been watching action for decades. It’s kicking, punching, hitting and so on, but in every film, it is treated differently. It ultimately boils down to whether the film is good or not.”

Also starring Sumeet Vyas in the lead, Chhatriwali went on floors in Lucknow last year. Produced by Ronnie Screwvala’s RSVP and directed by Tejas Prabha Vijay Deoskar, the film is reportedly about an unemployed chemistry graduate of Karnal who becomes a condom tester. However, she has to hide the truth from her family. Well, we are sure both the movies will have something different to offer.

Which film are you more excited for-- Chhatriwali or Janhit Mein Jaari?
