Ranveer Singh feels Simmba deserves a sequel; says ‘I will be very disappointed if there isn't a Simmba 2’

Actor Ranveer Singh is like a chameleon on-screen-- he can beautifully get into the skin of any character given to him. May it be Bittoo Sharma of Band Baaja Baaraat , Kabir Mehra from Dil Dhadakne Do or Alauddin Khilji in Padmaavat . Each of his roles is different from anything he’s done before, which proves he was born to be a star! But one of his most adored and entertaining characters of all time is definitely Inspector Sangram Bhalerao aka Simmba. No other actor could have played the cop like Ranveer did!

Well, Rohit Shetty ’s first cop drama Singham got a part 2 which often makes fans wonder if Simmba will ever have a sequel. Much to our delight, Ranveer cleared all our doubts in a recent interview with Film Companion. He was quoted saying, “I will be very disappointed if there isn't a Simmba 2 . Simmba deserves a reprise. He is one of my favourite guys. Actually, Simmba was always designed to be a franchise. So, whenever Rohit (Shetty) bhai calls, I will be there.”

He went on to assure, “But, there will be a Simmba 2. It's one of my favourite movies and also my favourite performances so far. I will do it because I love it so much.” Well, this is great news! Each time Ranveer and Rohit come together, they create magic. While we eagerly wait for an announcement for Simmba 2, we are super excited for their next film together which is titled Cirkus. Also starring Pooja Hegde , Jacqueline Fernandez and Varun Sharma, the Shetty directorial will arrive in theatres on Christmas this year.
