‘Shahid Kapoor jaisa nahi kar paoge’: Arjun Kapoor & team get trolled for Kuttey’s next song inspired by Dhan Te Nan

Film remakes and remixes of popular Bollywood songs is a tricky business. They can either do extremely well like Shah Rukh Khan’s Don, or fall flat on the face like Sidharth Malhotra and Tara Sutaria’s music video Masakali 2.0. Well, according to actor Arjun Kapoor’s social media handle, there’s going to be a new rebooted track in town tomorrow. The song that we are talking about is Phir Dhan Te Nan from his much awaited film Kuttey. He shared a teaser of the upcoming track on Instagram today and sadly it failed to impress netizens.

Phir Dhan Te Nan is a remixed version of Shahid Kapoor’s song Dhan Te Nan from the 2009 film Kaminey. The original track as well as Shahid’s hook step became party essentials back then. Even after all these years, the song continues to be iconic. Well, the teaser of Kuttey’s upcoming track Phir Dhan Te Nan begins with Arjun, Tabu and Konkona Sen Sharma walking into a dingy area, looking badass. Meanwhile, Radhika Madan sets the dance floor on fire with her moves. In the caption below, Arjun shared, “Phir ek baar goonj uthegi parties, Phir hoga Dhan Te Nan.”

Like we mentioned before, the teaser of Phir Dhan Te Nan failed to create the same magical effect that Shahid’s song had on audiences. In the comment section below, many are trolling Arjun and the team of Kuttey for not trying something original instead. One netizen shared, “Bas kardo bas kardo manhoso kuch naya bana lo 😡😡 ache bhalay Ganay ka janaza nikal diya kuch naya nhi hai kya tum logo k pas 😡”, whereas a fan pointed out, “Kuch bhee kar lo Shahid Kapoor jaisa nahi kar paoge they ruined one more song.” Another comment read: “Kyn mery bachpan k music memory ki band bja rhy ho bhaii😕😕 remake py remake bs or kuch nhi aaj kal.” Meanwhile, one other disappointed netizen wrote: “Another iconic song ruined .this is shahid kapoor banger.”

Well, the song will be out tomorrow. Let’s wait and give it a chance. Maybe it will do as well as the trailer did.
