    The Song of Scorpions marks the final appearance of the iconic actor Irrfan Khan who passed away in 2020. The makers have recently unveiled the trailer of the much-delayed film.

    The makers of the much-delayed film, The Song of Scorpions, starring Irrfan Khan recently dropped its trailer leaving fans emotional. The film, which was screened at the Locarno Film Festival in 2017, marks the final appearance of the iconic actor who passed away in 2020.

    About two minutes-long trailer gave a glimpse of legendary actor Irrfan as a camel trader who falls desperately in love with a tribal woman played by Iranian-French actress Golshifteh Farahani. The film is about the legend of scorpion singers in Rajasthan, tribals who possess the power of healing people affected by scorpion venom by singing to them. Golshifteh is introduced as Nooran, who is learning the ancient art of healing from her grandmother played by Waheeda Rehman. When Irrfan’s character Aadam hears her sing, he falls for her and they get married. However, later something occurs after which Nooran loses her voice, and what happens next remains to be seen.     Sharing the trailer on Instagram, Irrfan’s son Babil Khan wrote, “Bringing alive a heart-wrenching tale of love, obsession and betrayal.”Soon after fans flooded the comment section with their reactions. One of the fans wrote, “Wow!! Another masterpiece” Another commented, “Last curtain call ..we are truly blessed to witness excellence again.” One of the comments read, “And the genius lives on ..!!! .., oh wonder which universe is relishing his acting now…. What an actor.” One of the netizens stated, “I’ll watch for Legend Irrfan sir,” another added, “Legends never die.” For the unversed, Irrfan was diagnosed with neuroendocrine cancer in March 2018. He underwent treatment in London but unfortunately died on 29 April 2020, at the age of 53 in Mumbai’s hospital.

    Directed by Anup Singh, Irrfan’s last feature film, is all set to hit the theatres on April 28, a day ahead of his third death anniversary. Backed by Zeeshan Ahmad, the film also stars Shashank Arora and Tillotama Shome in pivotal roles.
