Varisu director Vamshi Paidipally says 'I cant wait to watch' Vijay's Thlapatahy 67

    Vamshi Paidipally is currently basking in the success of his family drama movie Varisu , which has managed to gross around 300 crores at the box office.

    Vamshi is known for directing many hits in the Telugu industry such as Munna, Oopiri, and the recent Mahesh Babu starrer Maharshi and Varisu marks his Tamil debut as well his first collaboration with Vijay .

    In the movie, Vijay plays the son of a business tycoon who has to take over the company after a series of unfortunate events.

    Varisu was also the first time the actor was paired with Rashmika Mandanna. The movie wrapped production in September and boasts an ensemble cast that includes Prabhu, R. Sarathkumar, Prakash Raj, Sangeetha, Khushbu, Ganesh Venkatraman, and Yogi Babu.

    Vamshi took to Twitter to share his excitement for Vijay's next project with director Lokesh Kanakaraj, 'Thalkapathy 67'

    Thalapathy 67 was officially announced recently and got an official release date as well. The movie will be the third entry in The Lokesh Cinematic Universe(LCU).

    The movie is produced by S. S. Lalit Kumar and Jagadish Palanisamy under the banner Seven Screen Studio.

    The cinematography will be handled by Manoj Paramahamsa, the movie will be edited by Philomin Raj who worked on the previous entries of the Lokesh Cinematic Universe.

    And finally, the music for the movie is composed by Anirudh Ravichander.

    The cast of the movie includes Vijay, Trisha, Arjun, Sanjay Dutt, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Mysskin, Mansoor Ali Khan, Priya Anand, Manobala, and Janany Kunaseelan.

    production for the movie began in January and currently, the cast and crew of the movie are filming in Kashmir.

    Along with Thalapathy 67, Lokesh Kanakaraj has announced three other installments set in his cinematic universe, they are Which are Kaithi 2 starring Karthi, Vikram 2 starring Kamaal Hassan, and finally, a spinoff of Vikram focusing on Rolex played by Suriya, who had a cameo at the end of the movie.

    Thalapathy 67 will hit theaters worldwide on 20 October 2023.
