HTMS 2018: Legendary Actress Rekha Reveals Why She Always Wears A Kanjeevaram Saree

One of the most iconic actresses to have ever graced the silver screen, legendary actress Rekha was awarded Hall of Fame (Female) Award at the HT India's Most Stylish Awards 2018. The actress received the award from legendary director Ramesh Sippy, who directed Sholay and also directed Rekha in the 1989 film Bhrashtachar.

The actress is almost always seen in a saree or a Kanjeevaram saree at most of the events, parties and award functions and it has been always a question among her fans and millions of followers. The actress let everyone know about her secret finally at the HTMS 2018.  

The actress was very close to her mother whom she lovingly referred to as 'Amma'. Here's what she said about always wearing a Kanjeevaram, "I wear sarees because it's my tradition, my roots and it reminds me of my mother. Whenever I wear a saree or a Kanjeevaram, I feel I am engulfed with love, protection and a lot of softness from my mother. Thank you, Amma for making me stylish".
