5 Upcoming Bollywood Films Which Can Become A Sleeper Hit

2018 has a lot of interesting films lined up for release. From the big-budgeted blockbusters starring the top stars of the country to small-budgeted content oriented films featuring the best acting talent, 2018 will hopefully erase the bad memories of 2017 when major star-vehicles failed and a lot of films underperformed at the box-office. The year is already off to a flying start with Padmaavat collecting more than 280 Crores and now Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety raking in a lot of money at the box-office. 

Every year sees a few films doing exceptionally well at the box-office which no one thought would become a hit. These films became sleeper hits after positive reviews and good word of mouth from the audiences and critics. Queen, Pyaar Ka Punchnama, Khosla Ka Ghosla, Newton, Bareilly Ki Barfi, Vicky Donor etc. gained popularity at the theatres over a period of time. 3 Storeys: The upcoming film is an ensemble thriller featuring the likes of Richa Chadda, Sharman Joshi, Pulkit Samrat and Sunny Singh. Farhan Akhtar has produced the film with Ritesh Sidhwani and it is directed by Arjun Mukherjee. 

Nanu Ki Jaanu: It is a supernatural romantic comedy featuring Abhay Deol and Patralekha in the lead roles. It is Abhay Deol's first outing after Happy Bhaag Jayegi and actor's fans would be eager to watch him on the silver screen. 

Omerta: Rajkummar Rao stars as terrorist Ahmed Omar Saeed Sheikh, a Britisher of Pakistani descent in this Hansal Mehta directorial. Seeing the kind of box-office run he had in 2017 with sleeper hits like Bareilly Ki Barfi and Newton performing well at the box-office, hopes are high from Omerta too.

Karwan: Irrfan Khar leads the comedy Karwan which is directed by Akash Khurana. Dulquer Salman will make his Bollywood debut and Kriti Kharbanda also stars in the film. It has all the elements to become a sleeper hit. 

Daas Dev: Legend Sudhir Mishra comes back to directing with Daas Dev which stars Richa Chadda, Rahul Bhat and Aditi Rao Hydari in lead roles. Talented actors like Vineet Kumar Singh, Saurabh Shukla, and Vipin Sharma also star in the political thriller.
